At Scope Psychology, we specialize in two main areas:

Psychological Assessment and Treatment for a range of difficulties (including anxiety and depression)

Neuropsychological Assessments for individuals with acquired brain injury and age-related memory difficulties

Our approach is to talk with you, and to find out what sorts of problems you are experiencing. You and your therapist can then work together and decide on the best approach to help you reach your goals.

This might include discussing the ‘here-and-now’ problems, and / or discussing what happened earlier on in your life and how this has shaped the way you react to situations now.

We use a range of therapy models (Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Analytic Therapy and Interpersonal Psychotherapy) to help you learn new strategies of relating, different ways of thinking and new ways of problem-solving.

Clinical Psychologists work within the Scientist-Practitioner Model. This means that our assessment tools and treatment options are based on up-to-date research about the most effective outcomes.
