Clinical PsychologyScope Psychology specializes in working with adults and older adults who are experiencing a range of psychological difficulties including:

  • Anxiety (Panic Attacks, Worry, Phobia, Social Phobia)
  • Depression
  • Grief and Loss
  • Adjustment Difficulties following brain injury or diagnosis of dementia
  • Stress
  • Sleep Problems
  • Relationship Problems
  • Role change (e.g. following retirement, job transition, birth of a child)

We meet clients for an assessment session, where our aim is to establish what you are having difficulties with, and how you would like things to be different.

Our aim is to collaboratively work with you to reach your desired goals. This might include using one, or a combination of, approaches from the Cognitive-Behavioural, Cognitive-Analytic or Interpersonal model of therapy. We can help you to think about difficult situations differently, to find new ways of relating to yourself and other people and to learn new strategies for problem-solving.

Scope Psychology is able to present workshops about depression, anxiety and sleep problems on request.
